Using a Solid State Drive in Your Desktop
April 25, 2009 on 7:30 am | By admin | In TechnologyMaybe you’ve considered using a solid state drive in your desktop after hearing about the speed and stability of them in laptops. And maybe that is a good idea. But, the technology isn’t quite there yet. Well, rather it’s here, but it’s still too expensive.
For fun here in our Phoenix laptop repair shop we built a computer with a solid state drive. It had a 32gb C drive to boot off of, plus another 500gb+ normal drive in it. We wanted to see if it would run faster. And it would, however it wasn’t quite fast enough. It would boot about twice as fast into windows, and load up programs faster. But, it really looks like the interface is the slowing factor, it just wasn’t all it was cracked up to be sadly.
Highly Recommend Manchester Solicitor
April 25, 2009 on 7:06 am | By admin | In BusinessOwning one of the best known businesses in Manchester and finding myself facing legal troubles was a humiliating predicament to be in. I needed a solicitor in Manchester who would handle my case with discretion and in a timely manner. The quicker my case was settled, the less damage done to the business I have spent my life building. Because so many facts had been unearthed before my case went to court, the proceedings were uneventful. The resolution reached was beneficial on both sides. I feel I had the best representation available, and would highly recommend these services to anyone who needs a lawyer watching out for their rights.
A Nice Environment
April 25, 2009 on 6:19 am | By admin | In MiscellaneousI recently just got a new job, and I must say that it is one of the greatest environments that I have ever had the pleasure to work in. It’s a small printing company but they have a huge emphasis on people getting along well together and actually being friends, not just coworkers. Our boss says that the best work environment is one that feels like a family. This definitely isn’t for everyone though. My brother would hate this job. He’s never liked get to know you games or anything like that, so he would have left after the first day. I love it.
I Love my Solar Panels
April 24, 2009 on 9:10 pm | By admin | In HomeI just need to take a moment to rave about my solar panels. Yes, my solar panels. I love love love being able to power my home with the sun knowing that not only am I doing my part to save the planet but also that I have extra money in my bank account every month. My energy bills are so low because I’m using a renewable resource and sometimes I’ve even gotten a credit from the electric company because of my solar energy. Solar panel installation was so much easier than I expected it to be and I started seeing the rewards quickly. I had my solar panels installed five years ago and already they have paid for themselves. And now there are federal tax credits?? Going solar now is smarter than ever.
Is An Electric Dog Fence Dog-Friendly?
April 24, 2009 on 8:55 pm | By admin | In HomeOne might wonder if an electric dog fence can hurt animals, dogs in particular. Of course, you don’t want to hurt your pet and using electricity to discipline him can mean serious harm. That is probably the case if you use a lot of electricity which is not the case with an electric dog fence. An electric dog fence will have different levels of stimulation, and it can range from mild to harsh, depending on how little or badly you need to discipline your dogs. It also has warning signals which tells your dog to keep off a certain area. Dogs are highly trainable creatures and unless they yours is very stubborn, you may not need to employ the higher levels of stimulation to discipline your pet. So, worry not, because you control your electric dog fence which controls your dog.

AMSOIL: 35+ Years of Excellence
April 24, 2009 on 2:12 pm | By admin | In AutosI have to admit, it’s hard to imagine such a small synthetic lubricants company managing to stick around amidst so much competition from other huge motor oil manufacturers. But, amsoil has managed to do just that.
For over 35 years AMSOIL has been manufacturing premium, extended drain synthetic motor oils that offer enhanced engine protection, fewer oil changes, lesser maintenance costs and greater fuel efficiency.
Imagine driving 25,000 miles before even having to worry about a single oil change. Imagine owning your vehicle for 10 years and still hearing the same “purrs like a kitten” engine idle.
AMSOIL premium synthetic oils are the ultimate in lubrication. Nobody does it better.
The Online Guitar Forums Are Informative
April 24, 2009 on 11:32 am | By admin | In ArtsEveryday I spend some time on the Internet. Either it is reading the news or doing my banking. Having access has simplified my life and in many ways made it more fulfilling. Every evening after my work is done I enjoy joining in the guitar forums and finding out what has been happening in the guitar world. One of the things that I have been following with great interest is a discussion of great or famous guitarists. It is interesting to see who others consider great and then to find out why. Occasionally I will buy an album based upon the discussions to see what they sound like.
