December 14, 2009 on 9:22 am | By admin | In ArtsMy mom called me the other day and she was so excited because my brother had just visited her and he had fixed her computer. My mom has a bad habit of breaking her computer from time to time. My brother and I are usually the ones that have to fix her computer, so it was nice that her computer broke while he was there so I did not have to go over there and fix it. She has kansas city dance lessons tonight and she will now get to go with a lighter heart because she knows that he computer is working.
The Music is What Life is About
December 14, 2009 on 5:42 am | By admin | In ArtsEveryone wants to play in a band. I do not think there is a person on Earth that has not dreamed about it. It is that call to greatness; that makes all wish we could play like our heroes. I grew up listening to great music, but I never took the time to learn to play. When I was thirty years old, I decided I needed to correct that mistake. Now I have a guitar practice routine and I love what I am learning. I like the way the instrument feels, and how a few simple notes can turn things around. This is the greatest thing I have ever done for myself.
When Learning How to Sing, Software Starts and Ends on a High Note
December 10, 2009 on 4:45 am | By admin | In ArtsIf you’re interested in taking vocal lessons, what’s the best method? Sometimes picking a method can be confusing, considering all the different ones out there. There are books, audio cassettes, and of course—traditional teachers. But when learning how to sing, software starts and ends on a high note. That’s because of its multi-media format. Voice lessons with a multi-media structure can maximize a student’s progress. From text to videos, and from audio to graphics–such programs become a feast for the senses. People learn differently, so when learning how to sing, software is the most effective in instructing those different kinds of learners. It has something for everyone!
Fan favorite
December 9, 2009 on 7:13 am | By admin | In ArtsEver since the 1980′s I have been a huge fan of Judd Nelson. I always thought he was the best of the brat pack bunch and a true fan favorite. I make it a point to see everything that he is in. I was thrilled when I found out about The Lost Angel which was produced by Randy Charach. The movie was so suspenseful I ate all my popcorn without even realizing it. Getting caught up in the story and characters of a movie make it seem more real. What a way to get a break from my daily life than to lose myself in a movie with one of my favorite actors.
It is essential to trim a bonsai tree
December 9, 2009 on 5:25 am | By admin | In ArtsRemove the plant from its original container and put the root ball inside a container filled with water. The front portion should be the side you wish to display. First, find the central trunk and remove the growth that covers the front of the tree. These are specifically designed to create a nice, clean cut. Since new leaves and branches usually ruin and keep the bonsai trees for sale out of shape, it then becomes essential to trim a bonsai during this time. The process of shaping begins when the tree is growing. The main objective of trimming and pruning is to shape the bonsai into the desired form and to reduce growth above ground in order to maintain a balance with root growth.
Beautiful Religious Jewelry
December 4, 2009 on 7:16 am | By admin | In ArtsI can say without a doubt I am a jewelry buff. I am a gold and silver ,platinum and all kinds of gems admirer. This goes for all kinds of jewelry, i tend to love all of it. Of course i admire some pieces more than others however I just found something new that I have a liking to, Beautiful Religious Jewelry. Lovely gold crucifixes and pendants and charms, some with rubies and emeralds encrusted in them. I find religious jewelry for the most part very modest visually and I guess one could have something made that has a little more flare or glimmer but I love the pieces I have actually seen myself. These pieces can be worn with just about anything you fancy and that’s a part of the look I like.

My Children Inspired my Christmas Cards
November 27, 2009 on 2:25 pm | By admin | In ArtsI always get a thrill when I receive a really nice and expensive greeting card from a family member or a friend, but not quite as much as the simple hand made cards that my children specially created for me when they were at junior school. Last year I was thinking how personal and meaningful those simple little cards were and decided to handcraft some of my own Christmas cards that fitted the person they were being sent to, rather than buying mass produced cards from the local store. I thought I would use Quilling as a technique as not too many cards contain that, making it unique and special. My youngest daughter helped with the cards, it will probably be the last time because she is getting married in the Spring. I will probably extend my card making to birthdays and other occasions and will continue with the Quilling theme as I have had so so much fun creating the cards.
