It’s a question which is as old the hills, if you tell someone that you have split up with your girlfriend the first thing they will say is “what did you do wrong?” however you look at it, everyone assumes that it’s the man that is in the wrong.
All of this aside, we now have to work on how to get your girlfriend back without scaring her away. If you do have to contact her, limit this to essential, relevant phone calls, if she has left her briefcase or laptop and needs them for work, that’s a relevant and reasonable time to call. Calling her at midnight to tell her that you can’t sleep without her is not a very reasonable topic for a woman who just dumped you.
