Adjustable English Stirrups Offer a Great Ride
December 14, 2009 on 5:53 am | By admin | In SportsMy cousin from the city was very new to the farm, the horses, and the fun we could have riding through the miles of back country. To encourage her timidity, I offered to saddle up Lacey, a quiet agreeable mare of the elderly sort. As I led Lacey out of the barn for my cousin to mount, she looked at the English Stirrups with confusion. “I can never manage to crowd my legs into those little things,” she groaned. After a good laugh I explained how to adjust them. Slightly embarrassed, she proceeded to climb up on Lacey and hang on for dear life. In the end, I think she enjoyed her adventure on horseback. I’m sure she will never forget it!
