I think it would be fair to say that lake taupo fishing is possibly some of the best fishing in the world. That’s not just my opinion, I know plenty of people who would agree with that comment. If you are keen on catching trout then this is the place for you. Both rainbow and brown trout are abundant in this area, in fact it has one of the largest naturally produced trout populations in the world. I make a point of going to the lake at least three or four times a year just to drop a line in the water and try my luck. I don’t think I have ever left disappointed.
